| Ten interested orthodontists got together to establish the
Japan Lingual Orthodontic Association, JLOA, in 1988 for furthering
lingual orthodontics in Japan and providing the members with
opportunities to brush up their skills through information exchange.Its
annual events include general and regular meetings, lingual orthodontic
typodont courses, and publication of the JLOA Journal. |

The Association also assists its
members in presenting papers or cases at American and European
lingual orthodontic society meetings.
The JLOA currently has about 230 active members throughout Japan.
